33 Brunning Street. You've seen the listing, you've looked at the photos and the floor plans. You know it's going to auction on Saturday 1st December 2012.

This blog is aimed to give you a bit more of an insight about why this house is so special. Yes, it has 2 bedrooms, period features, a pretty street facade, dishwasher, alarm system and a massive, kick-arse  Ilve oven, but the thing about our house is it's location. Brunning Street. It's close to everything, easy to get to and the street is full of character and characters.

Brunning Street is the kind of place where neighbours have your spare key, collect your mail and put out your rubbish on holidays and even feed your pets in an emergency. We've had house parties and street parties. Living here has been - in short - brilliant.

But here's a little more detail about the actual house:

It's got a man cave (shed).

Big enough for your garden tools, a couple of bikes and what ever else you need to store to keep your low maintenance garden in top order. Small enough that it doesn't take up all your precious outdoor space and tucked away discreetly in a corner.

It's got a cool attic ladder to roof storage. Handy for your mini Mal, camping gear, ski gear and suitcases. We've even put furniture up there over the years.

It's got an oven big enough to cook 2 lasagnas, a roast plus a tray of veggies - all at the same time. Man I'm going to miss that oven.

It's got a ginormous Kitchen window that lets lovely natural light flood the back of the house all day long.

The gardenias in the front garden bloom with abandon in the warmer months, with the sweet scent, helped along by the Jasmine, perfuming the breeze as it wafts through the front door. The back yard has a great sized bench, perfect for reading the weekend papers in the sunshine or throw some cushion on it for a recovery/day bed.
